1. Purpose
This Data & Account Deletion Policy explains how BusMeCentral users may request access to, export of, correction of or deletion of their account and business information.
BusMeCentral is operated by Richard Hembu, trading as WEBSOFT-PNG, a registered business name in Papua New Guinea.
This policy should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Subscription & Payment Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Nothing in this policy excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Papua New Guinea law.
2. Ownership and Responsibility for Business Data
Business users retain their rights in the information they lawfully enter into BusMeCentral.
This may include sales records, income, expenses, inventory, customers, suppliers, credit sales, repayments and business reports.
Business users are responsible for ensuring that information entered into the application is accurate, lawful and appropriately authorized.
WEBSOFT-PNG processes this information to operate, maintain, secure and support the application, subject to applicable policies and legal obligations.
WEBSOFT-PNG does not acquire ownership of customer business records merely because those records are stored within BusMeCentral.
3. Available Data Requests
Subject to identity verification, technical capabilities and applicable obligations, authorized users may request:
- Access to supported account information.
- Correction of inaccurate personal or business information.
- Export of supported business records.
- Closure of a business account.
- Deletion of eligible account and business information.
- Clarification about data retention.
- Information about the status of a previously submitted request.
Not every request necessarily results in immediate or complete deletion of all associated records.
Requests will be assessed fairly and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
4. How to Submit a Request
Users may submit requests through the BusMeCentral Privacy & Data Requests feature.
Users may also contact WEBSOFT-PNG through:
- Email: admin@websoft-png.com
- The BusMeCentral in-app Messages feature.
Requests should identify the relevant business account and describe the action requested.
Users should avoid sending passwords, PINs, complete payment card details or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
WEBSOFT-PNG may request additional information where reasonably necessary to identify the relevant account or clarify the requested action.
5. Identity and Authority Verification
Before providing sensitive information, exporting restricted records or deleting an account, WEBSOFT-PNG may require reasonable verification of the requester's identity and authority.
A request submitted by a person without appropriate authority may be refused or deferred pending clarification.
Administrative staff may process requests only within permissions expressly assigned by the Super Admin.
WEBSOFT-PNG may apply additional verification where a request involves account ownership, confidential business information or records concerning third parties.
Identity verification information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable obligations.
6. Data Export Before Deletion
Where technically supported, users may download available business records before eligible account deletion.
Supported exports may include sales, expenses, inventory and other available reports.
Export availability and formats depend on the functions implemented in BusMeCentral.
Users should verify that their downloaded files contain the information they need before proceeding with account closure or deletion.
An export may not include every internal system record, security log, attachment, message history or database field.
WEBSOFT-PNG does not guarantee that records can be exported or recovered after deletion has been completed.
7. Account Closure and Subscription Status
Customers may request account closure whether their subscription is active, expired or otherwise restricted, subject to applicable security and legal requirements.
Account closure does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund.
An active paid subscription and any unresolved payment matters will be considered under the Subscription & Payment Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy.
WEBSOFT-PNG may temporarily restrict account access while a verified deletion request is being processed where reasonably necessary.
Customers should export available important records before account closure.
Subscription expiry alone does not automatically result in account deletion.
8. Deletion of Eligible Information
Following appropriate verification and assessment, WEBSOFT-PNG may delete or de-identify eligible account and business information.
Deletion will be carried out according to the application's actual technical capabilities and applicable retention requirements.
Deletion may be permanent for information removed from the active application database.
Users should not assume that deleted information can always be restored.
WEBSOFT-PNG will distinguish between information deleted from active systems and information retained for legitimate legal, financial, security or backup purposes.
9. Information That May Be Retained
Certain records may need to be retained after account closure or deletion requests, including:
- Subscription payment and refund records.
- Financial transaction records subject to applicable obligations.
- Security and fraud investigation records.
- Audit histories.
- Records relating to unresolved disputes.
- Information necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
- Information otherwise required to be retained under applicable law.
Where appropriate and technically supported, retained information will be restricted from ordinary account use.
Retention will be limited to legitimate purposes and applicable requirements.
WEBSOFT-PNG will not retain information indefinitely without a legitimate operational or legal justification.
10. Business Customer and Supplier Information
Business accounts may contain personal information about customers, suppliers, employees and other third parties.
WEBSOFT-PNG will assess deletion requests concerning such information in light of the requesting person's authority, the relevant business relationship and applicable obligations.
Requests affecting another person's information may require additional verification or consideration.
WEBSOFT-PNG will not disclose unrelated business information to a requester who lacks appropriate authorization.
Business users remain responsible for their own lawful collection and use of customer and supplier information.
11. Ordinary Transaction Deletion
Where BusMeCentral permits users to delete ordinary business transactions, the system may maintain associated records or audit information necessary to preserve financial accuracy, inventory integrity and security.
Deleting a transaction must not improperly duplicate or reverse unrelated sales, expenses, credit repayments or stock movements.
The availability of transaction restoration depends on the recovery functions actually implemented.
Certain transactions may be restricted from deletion where necessary to preserve financial integrity, security or applicable recordkeeping obligations.
12. Conditional Transaction Recovery
WEBSOFT-PNG may offer recovery of certain deleted business transactions where an appropriate recovery function has been implemented and verified.
BusMeCentral does not guarantee a fixed deleted-transaction recovery period.
Some transactions may not be recoverable because of technical limitations, dependencies or applicable retention rules.
Users should maintain independent copies of important records where appropriate.
Any specific recovery period communicated by WEBSOFT-PNG must reflect a recovery capability that is actually available and verified.
13. Backups and Archived Information
BusMeCentral may rely on backup or recovery services provided by its supporting infrastructure.
Deleted information may remain temporarily within backups or archives according to the actual backup configuration and retention arrangements.
WEBSOFT-PNG does not guarantee immediate removal from every backup or restoration of every deleted record.
Backup schedules, retention periods and restoration capabilities depend on the infrastructure and services actually available.
Information retained in backups or archives will remain subject to applicable security, confidentiality and retention obligations.
14. Deletion Processing and Timing
WEBSOFT-PNG will assess verified deletion requests within a reasonable period, taking into account:
- Identity and authority verification.
- The amount and nature of the information.
- Technical processing requirements.
- Unresolved payment or security matters.
- Applicable legal retention obligations.
- Available operational resources.
Where a request cannot be completed immediately, WEBSOFT-PNG may provide an appropriate status update.
Processing time may vary according to the nature and complexity of the request.
Any legally required deadline will be observed.
15. Rejection or Partial Completion of Requests
A request may be refused, deferred or partially completed where:
- The requester cannot establish appropriate authority.
- The information is subject to legitimate retention requirements.
- Deletion would interfere with an unresolved dispute or security investigation.
- The request would improperly affect another person's rights.
- The requested action is not technically supported.
- Another lawful reason prevents immediate completion.
Where appropriate, WEBSOFT-PNG will explain the reason and any available alternatives.
Where only part of a request can be completed, WEBSOFT-PNG may process the eligible portion while retaining information that must lawfully or reasonably be preserved.
16. Access Following Deletion
Once an account has been closed or deleted, access to its business records and services may be revoked.
Deleted accounts may not be recoverable.
Creating a new account does not automatically restore records from a previously deleted account.
Previous introductory trial eligibility may remain subject to reasonable anti-abuse checks.
Where deletion has been completed, WEBSOFT-PNG does not guarantee restoration of the previous account, transactions, attachments or business history.
17. Security of Deletion Processes
Deletion and export operations must be performed through authorized processes with appropriate identity and access checks.
Administrative actions will be recorded in relevant audit histories where supported.
Users and staff must not use deletion or export functions to access information belonging to unrelated businesses.
WEBSOFT-PNG may restrict, investigate or reject requests that appear fraudulent, unauthorized or inconsistent with applicable security requirements.
Access to retained records will be limited to appropriately authorized personnel for legitimate purposes.
18. Changes to This Policy
WEBSOFT-PNG may update this policy to reflect changes in technical capabilities, operational procedures or applicable requirements.
Updated versions will identify their effective dates.
Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
Changes will not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
19. Contact and Requests
Questions and requests concerning data access, exports, correction, account closure or deletion may be submitted through:
- Email: admin@websoft-png.com
- BusMeCentral's Privacy & Data Requests feature.
- The in-app Messages feature.
